No only am I in the market for some fabulous finds and a chance to network with contractors, I’m so excited to get to see one of my design idols, Egypt Sherrod from Married to Real Estate. As Promised…

The San Antonio Home & Garden Show wasn’t what I’d pictured in my mind. I was thinking about the big bridal extravaganzas and huge gemstone/jewelry shows I’ve seen in the past. These are usually packed with people and booths–a delightful sensory overload with plenty of products, services, and samples. The number of vendors at this show was a bit disappointing. I expected more handcrafted furniture, remodelers, storage/closet solutions, and of course, plants. They did have a few hot tub booths and screened-in patio vendors. But mostly, it turned out to be more like slick salespeople trying to get you sign up for stays at hotels or putting your name in a drawing for a trip.

The highlight of the show was definitely Egypt Sherrod. She looked amazing, and she even took the time to answer questions from the audience. She gave great tips. She was kind, compassionate, and had a sense of humor. We all know she’s a badass, but she came across as so humble and down-to-earth. I was able to get a few pics with her.
